Sales Professional (inside sales)

Vortx, located in beautiful Southern Oregon, is currently recruiting proven sales professionals, ideally with expertise in selling software applications, to join our company.

Vortx innovates, creating eCommerce success for business owners, each serving a community of on-line retailers with specific commerce needs. We sell subscriptions (monthly fees for the use of an eCommerce platform) to those retailers.

We are now seeking professionals with experience in solution selling. We are looking for applicants who can understand the business requirements of their prospective clients AND understand our solutions, then explain the 'good fit' in order to close deals.

Subscriptions that are sold to clients must be long-lasting, so we are looking for sales professionals who know, and will be honest, when the fit is not actually a good one. Successful candidates will be incentivized to make the right sales to the right clients in the right way, creating positive, win/win, outcomes.

Applicants must be confident, competent, and be comfortable dealing with senior levels of an organization. Integrity and excellence are cornerstone values that are seen throughout our company. These traits are all really important to us - we are a tight-knit company where we care very much for each other and our clients. We are looking for people who celebrate a culture of accountability, consideration and fun.

This position is based in Ashland, Oregon, and may include a little travel but is predominantly "inside sales" to existing customers. Cold-calling is not our primary focus but rather deepening the relationships we currently have with our diverse client base. Again, our focus is in building deep, long term relationships by understanding the key challenges our customers face and applying our diverse solution portfolio to help them succeed.

This position is ideally - but not necessarily - based in Ashland, Oregon, and may include travel.

Key requirements:
  • Experience (3 yrs +) of selling technology-based products or services
  • A strong passion for customer service and a "can-do" approach
  • Outstanding analytical, presentation and communication skills.
  • Commitment to updating and managing accurate information in the sales CRM tool.
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success
  • Software and web proficiency
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
